As of January 1, 2013, MHM welcomed Mr. Kazuhiko Takeshima, the former Chairman of the Japan Fair Trade Commission, as an adviser to the firm. After holding distinguished positions including Commissioner of the National Tax Agency and Assistant Chief Cabinet Secretary, Mr. Kazuhiko Takeshima served in two terms over 10 years starting in July 2002 as Chairman of the Japan Fair Trade Commission and supervised execution of competition laws, including the Antimonopoly Act. During this time, he made an immense contribution to strengthening the enforcement of competition laws and promoting the international activities of the Japan Fair Trade Commission.We firmly believe that, by welcoming Mr. Kazuhiko Takeshima to the firm as our adviser and receiving the benefit of his knowledgeable advice, MHM will be able to provide even higher levels of legal service to our clients in the future.
