Message from Akihiro Yamada
I am pleased to inform you that I have just joined Mori Hamada & Matsumoto after retiring from KPMG Tax Corporation.
After serving four years in the Osaka Regional Taxation Bureau, I worked for 19 years for the Tax Bureau of the Ministry of Finance, where I was involved in planning for international taxation, conclusion of tax treaties, and planning for corporate tax, and in recent years, I worked on amendments to the international taxation system and amendments to systems for reorganization and tax consolidation. I started work at KPMG Tax Corporation in 2008, and as director of the M&A/Global Solutions, I provided tax advice to Japanese multinational corporations, including on global tax strategies and cross-border reorganization.
Making use of my experience, I look forward to benefitting our clients while also developing my expertise in the fields of taxation, including international taxation.
