On January 14, 2021, one of our members working in the Tokyo office (Chiyoda-ku) was confirmed positive for COVID-19. The last day that person came to the office was January 12, 2021, and we swiftly disinfected the office upon notification of the positive test result. In addition, we confirmed with a public health center that no one in the office was in close contact with the infected person; however, we have temporarily prohibited anyone who had a certain degree of contact with the infected person from coming to the office, by way of precaution.
We will continue giving the highest priority to preventing the spread of infection, consulting with the relevant authorities, and ensuring the safety of our clients, lawyers and staff, and other stakeholders.
