On August 3, 2023, seven of the firm’s lawyers, Hiromasa Yamauchi, Kotaro Motoshima, Misato Kobayashi, Masumi Sato, Yuichiro Ishida, Yuta Kawasaki, Takuma Mori, and Mio Fukumoto conducted the “Watashi no Mirai (My Future) Program ‘Learn Together about Money and Law!’” through which they, together with representatives from “Watashi no Mirai” (a general incorporated association) and J.P. Morgan, provided law-related education to junior and senior high school students who live in children’s homes.

This year, the program was conducted in person, and covered legal issues concerning dangers related to social media and generative AI, which have been gaining a lot of attention recently.
The attorneys presented information about familiar legal issues, such as those related to the age of adulthood, as discussed last year, contracts, leasing and renting accommodation, and investment fraud, in a quiz-based format and worked with the students and workers at the facilities to deepen their understanding of these issues.

The students who took part in the program conveyed feedback with comments such as, “As a female, I was impressed by the female lawyers, and really admire them,” “I felt like I would like to learn more about law,” “I would like to learn more information about contracts for people who live on their own,” and “All of the information was so valuable and useful.”
