Mori Hamada & Matsumoto (“MHM”) will carry out a campaign “MHM Pride 2024,” mainly in June, in order to raise awareness of LGBTQ+ and various minorities and to realize a world where no one feels insecure about not being or no longer being a part of a majority and everyone can feel secure in being themselves.
In line with MHM Pride 2024, we changed the MHM logo on our website to a MHM Pride version that uses the colors of the rainbow flag, which is also a symbol of LGBTQ+ and the diversity of sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI).

Pride Month and MHM Pride

Every June is designated as “Pride Month,” during which activities are carried out around the world to deepen the understanding and increase support for the rights and cultures of LGBTQ+. This is attributable to the June 1969 outbreak of the Stonewall Rebellion, which is said to have pioneered the LGBTQ+ rights movement, triggered by the resistance of customers and neighbors to the police’s unreasonable investigation of the Stonewall Inn, a gay bar in the U.S.
MHM has also been carrying out a variety of activities in June, Pride Month, every year since 2021, under the title of “MHM Pride” with the aim of raising awareness about the situation of LGBTQ+ and, in turn, other various minorities.

MHM Pride 2024 theme and projects

This year’s theme is “Belief in a better tomorrow”

The future will change for the better if each of us changes and improves our way of thinking and being, little by little. We have decided on this year's theme in the hope that we will think together, as a team, about what we can do today to create a wonderful tomorrow for everyone.

As in previous years, during MHM Pride 2024, we will carry out activities such as producing and distributing goods using the colors of the rainbow flag, holding internal lectures and workshops, taking various measures to enhance awareness through posters, etc., and putting up decorations in the colors of the rainbow flag in the Tokyo Office.

Some of the goods are scheduled to be distributed at the Tokyo Office and other offices, so please feel free to take one when visiting our offices. Please note that there is a limited number of those products.
